Canadian Mountains and Hat

One of the great things about knitting is that it is a fine craft just made for travel. I have knit through mountains, deserts, large cities, small islands and quite a bit on ferries. Each year I knit a number of pieces while traveling along the Trans Canada Highway. Today was one of those days. I set a goal to finish this knit hat before reaching the summit of the Rogers Pass, and met my goal. It seemed perfect to shoot this very Canadian hat at the summit of a well known Canadian pass.

The hat is made of 100% Canadian produced and milled wool, dyed by hand in natural dyes , and knit by hand (on location!).

Just check out the view I get to knit to!

The hat will be available on http://www.handmade-canada.com in the next few days.
